"Do you still buy or watch DVDs or Blu-Ray discs? Why?"
I wrote up my response to a tweet asking this:
@neil I most certainly do!
As you mentioned, once I've got it, it's mine. It's in my cupboard, and nobody can revoke my access to it on a whim.
We'll occasionally go somewhere that doesn't have internet (or may as well not have), and, Wales being Wales, the rain can set in. So some series and films can be rather enjoyable.
There are some Blu-Ray's, though. Especially for things like Planet Earth (which you can buy for £5...) and the like.
@neil There is also a particular series I love where the streaming version has changed the music used in certain places (I'm guessing down to licensing).
In my opinion, it completely ruins the whole scene. The DVD never has that problem!
@email@example.com this is exactly why I still buy audio CDs and physical books.
OK, there are additional reasons to prefer physical books over ebooks, but these are among the reasons
@dan I prefer eBooks, mainly for convenience reasons, but I remove the DRM so I can read them on my non-Kindle eReader.
